Good so all of the ugly kugane houses can disappear from the lav beds & go pollute the serene & beautiful ishgard- that's why I won't move my house from it's spot knowing the ishgard wards won't look good once everyone moves in lol

Can I just ask.. why everyone seems to think that ps4 support needs to be dropped? They haven't even fully used the potential of the ps4.. and please don't tell me it's for the "graphics update" because it was explained that the reason that won't happen is because too many people are using out of date PCs, and they'd lose a huge amount of their subscription base if they raised the minimum requirements.. so.. kind of doesn't make sense to push for Ps4 support drop..
as for expectations..
same as you would get from fanfests 1 and 2 in a normal expac cycle. and a live letter for 4.5 part 1. Same as always.

While I agree with you that wanting PS4 support dropped is silly at this stage, you're wrong about the graphical update, there're prettier games with lower requirements, it's more a combination of the engine as is so often mentioned and simply when they chose to simplify the graphics for 2.0 they didn't make high textures and lower them, they just made low textures, it's why they can't give the converted "HD texture pack" as there are no HD textures to give. Can I just ask.. why everyone seems to think that ps4 support needs to be dropped? However, they've said at some point the engine would need to get looked at and that would be when the graphics and character creator and other core systems would get a pass too, as it just made sense. So that's the deciding factor, at what point they feel it's time to make those evaluations.

Y'all ready for the melt down when make buns and fem cats aren't mentioned? Causes I betting it's going to be big

Feel I should say. I am not hoping this happens I would like the races to be added, BUT we have been told it is unlikely and many people seem to have convinced themselves it is even after

Prettymuch. The Letter from the Producer a while back was fairly definite that it's just not possible in the current circumstances. It might happen someday but not on any kind of schedule to be hoping or expecting it to happen at the next big announcement.
What I think is gonna be revealed:
-6.0 title with a well-hidden hint to beastmaster on the side
-5.5 nier and ultimate raids (ultimate I'm not 100% sure honestly)
-new and final trial (+extreme version) of shadowbringers
-the firmament completion+explanation on how the new houses will be distributed to the players (if we get some sort of priority system for those who contributed the most?)
-probably new stickers and other stuff for the gpose
that's it, if we see more I'll just take it as added bonus
Well, considering that some of FFXIV's biggest rivals have managed to expand character customisation I don't think that it is unreasonable to expect the development team to do the same thing. WoW is a much older game and has added multiple new playable races over time and has also revamped the character creator not once but twice. PS02 also recently upgraded the game's graphics considerably, I believe. To say nothing of the fact that many pseudo-MMO's such as Monster Hunter World and even single player games are competing for people's attention in terms of ongoing investment.
So yeah, it might not happen and we might not get the missing genders and/or a revamp of the character customisation system but it's been consistently in high demand to the point where it'd be a genuine disappointment for many if we go without. I want everything to be bigger and better this time around. That goes for story and staying power of content in particular.

Apparently everything is solved with the "It can't be done currently" and people will just simply buy it. I wish I could solve every problem like that too.
Can we have more dungeons? "It can't be done currently, but you can have fewer dungeons for more content" Spoiler: We got less content
Can we have better customization? "It can't be done currently"
Can we improve Eureka? "It can't be done currently, but you can get downgraded Eureka and removed Deep Dungeons"
Can we have more finished races? "It can't be done currently"
Can we remove genderlock? "It can't be done currently"
Can we improve the housing system? "It can't be done currently"
Can we have glamour fixed? "It can't be done currently"
Can we have more inventory/armory space? "It can't be done currently"
Can we have more events? "It can't be done currently, but you can have the usual ones cancelled"
Can we have less MogStation? "It can't be done currently, but you can have more expensive items"
However, you can have Mahjong and glasses done by our workers in their free time.
At this rate what are we supposed to have in our minds as average expectations? The security we can pay a sub? Is really expecting any of those madness?
Seriously, I'm not trying to sounds as a hater, because I love this game, but just because of that I would like it to be improved and I see certain aspects have been going downhill for a while now and people just seem perfectly fine with it because "current limitations." Player counts have gone from 6 millions to over 22 millions according to the numbers they show in their trailers and limitations just seem to get harsher. So, raise you standards and don't settle for whatever they throw at you. These are the guys who developed ARR behind the scenes while putting an end to 1.0
