Having had a house prior to the timer and after I do sympathize with the clickers but you really DON’T have to click at all hours.

I won mine by going afk and sleeping (after clicking that evening) and waking up in the middle of the night to check and the timer was gone (yes I know now there is a 30 minute auto kick in place now). My husband however REFUSED to play the timer game. He would check everyday, go to a house that wasn’t being camped and click it. If the timer was up he’d leave. He ended up buying a Goblet plot with this method, no timer bs involved. I was insanely jealous.

Admittedly it takes a certain personality to do it my husbands way but his way was the absolute least stressful way.

Also note those who hate being tied to a placard (though I still feel this will be the best way to get a house) lotteries are going to be a thing in 6.1 so you’ll have another option.

This only works if your server has a small population. On Crystal DC, there are usually dozens of players at the placard. Doing your methods those houses you and your husband have would have sold long before you checked on them.

Leviathan is far from small. But yes atm there is a much larger than normal influx of players in a content lull. My point remains, you don’t HAVE to stress about it. I did forget to add that we got ours during a in-between patch lull so that may have been in our favor as well, as I said before if people were already at the placard we both would just move on to avoid a clicking war at the onset.
