    First thing on my mind is "Accuracy otherwise it can't compete against Mogaxe." Second thing on my mind is "HP drain or something similar to promote tanking." After that I guess STR and VIT for modifiers. Enhanced Bloodbath or something would be nice i guess.

    I've been thinking about it and a non-upgraded AF weapon will probably something lame like DMG:167 Delay: 4.3sec with STR+10 VIT+10 and maybe an enhancing effect.

    What I really want to see when it's fully upgraded is:
    DMG:175
    Delay 4.2sec
    ACC+30
    ATK+30
    STR+15
    VIT+15
    Enhances "Double Attack" Effect

    If the stats are anywhere near this though I want it to be extremely difficult to upgrade. I'm hoping for the relics of FFXIV. Maybe a cool WS as a secondary combo finisher? who knows.

    I think for the AF weapons they have to do an "upgrade" system so they stay relevant even after level cap(s) are raised.

    Uh, that is not the kind of cost he is talking about.
    He's talking about the development team resources being devoted to creating the actual content.

    That's not what I meant. Please reread what I said. I felt the part that literally says "and upgrading job-exclusive weapons" meant there will be upgrades for the weapon. I was in no way saying the cost estimation had to do with cost of upgrading the weapon.

    As it is now with the job armors we have the critical rate is way too low to be usefull for curing oneself.

    Since SE doesn't seem to grasp the superiority of slow but powerful weapons over fast but weak ones, I propose we they make an axe with the following stats:

    Damage: 400
    Delay: 10s
    DPS: 40

    No other stats.

    Look, less DPS than Garuda weapons and no extra stats!? Surely, it must be balanced! Just like the good old Arcanite Reaper in early WoW.

    It actually might be because you won't gain TP as fast. There hasn't been enough testing to conclude anything about low delay weapons compared to high delay weapons. TP doesn't seem to be based on delay either.

    When it comes down to it there hasn't been enough testing to conclude anything. It kind of reminds me of FFXI when it was believed that slow strong hits were the best, but then haste gear became more readily available then the meta had changed.
