I like how the GC weapons look (besides brickfists) but they seem out of place given the setting, art style and culture of the city states shown so far. Weapons from primals and crazy boss monsters should look crazy over the top and they have done pretty well on that. Player and NPC made stuff should be consistent with the art style of their settings.
In terms of the GC weaponry keep in mind that they are in war time now so these Heavy Arms make sense in that context, if it wasn't wartime then I would understand why people would say the new GC weapons don't fit but until we know the whole story behind them all we can do is wait. My guess is when it comes to the GC weapons they are specialized to deal with the machine based tech of the empire so their oversized stature makes sense in that context to be able to deal the most amount of damage to said target. The brick fist seem superheated and pack quite a punch i'd imagine if those were used on metal it would melt a hole right through them.

As for Garuda weapons I have no issues with how they look, I just hope that when we see the stats they are varied rather then a DoW/M stats we've been getting so far.
