Opinions are like A**holes. We all have them and they all stink. I happen to like pretty much all the designs, some don't, it's no big deal. Atleast SE are trying to design different type of gear.

True there, and i never stated I wanted realism, i just wanted some more "regular" and not so over the top. The other new items (the ones on the lodestone) are more my thing.

As for me designing things: I got people to do that for my as I admit, I fail to get my visions to paper. But then again, I'm not payed to be creative, so why bother.

And before people start raging as before: this is my opinion of things, you might not like it, but then again I don't really care ...

Today, the submission period for "Predict the Fall of Garuda!" has come to an end. We would like to thank all of you who have participated.
Since the submission came to an end, we assume that many of you are anxious to know what the actual Garuda weapons will look like. Yes, yes, we know what you want next.

In response to your expectations, we would like to give a special premier on the video footage of Garuda weapons, which you can obatin by slaying the primal Garuda.

Hopefully, we should be able to introduce the battle against primal Garuda in the topics along with the video tomorrow but for now, please see the gallant figure of the seven mighty gales ready to gust through Eorzea.

Unlisted shouldn't prevent embedding if you have the embed code, it just prevents the video from showing up in YouTube searches. So either there is a setting to prevent embeds that was intentionally enabled (that I don't remember) or they changed the function of unlisted since I last used it.

So archer gets a riot shield instead of a bow? Can you even see past that thing? Some of those weapons are passable, others require an immense level of suspension of disbelief, but sadly, this is what we've come to expect from the new art direction.

Yet again, chill with the nostalgia people. Yeah in XI relic weapons looked quite slick and elegant.
However, lets not forget we wore same crap for YEARS. I wore the damn elemental staffs forever.
I rather enjoy how much variety they adding and if they continue to do so I'm sure everyone will find something for themselves.
There's plenty of bland looking weapons and armor from Tanakas time. I rather the dev team be imaginative than have 50 freaking Cowls and Bronze, Iron, Darksteel swords that only change in color.

Only thing I'd like to see modified is the Sword. It just looks like an oversized Sai... The 2 side prongs need to be more straightened out, reversed and resemble a crossguard more for it to pass as an actual sword. It's handle also is too big for a 1-handed sword.
