You clearly don't play enough PVP or PVE to understand why the two modes are sperate
PVP is fast paced, players can die in seconds, most buffs in this mode last for like 6 seconds max and your enemies are unpredictable, meanwhile PVE is slow and some boss fights can last upwards of 12 minutes, buffs can last anywhere between 10 to 30 seconds, but everything is known to the players, Titan is always gonna use Magnitude after he runs your Off-Tank over with his go-kart. The only thing these modes share is EXP and Job stones, because they play nothing alike.
PVP Combos are short and do not have any kind of branching paths, Literally every Melee other than DRK and GNB has some kind of Fork that changes a hit or two of the combo in PVE, this simply does not work with PVP combos as they are right now, and reworking them to handle this is a waste of dev resources to fix an issue that is not a problem. As you yourself stated, only a terrible player (like myself) breaks combo in the first place so adding PVP combos to PVE does not actually solve any problems, its already too easy to get carried in this game, if you can't press 1, 2, 3 consistently consider just getting good instead.
TL;DR This topic is not fit for discussion as it doesn't actually understand PVP in the first place.

This made sense in the past with pvp. But since pvp buttons got reduced the combo structure is kind of meh. I actually hate the combo button in pvp. But i do think people should have options.
I wish, we're getting plenty of new combos, and not enough space in the skill bar. Especially this expansion they went and made aoe combos for all classes (which is nice for some, like the monk new combo), so having some skills condensed would very well save some space.
Or don't and hope you can add the next 5-6 skills in the next expansion, hoping they remove some older ones.

Oh boy OP you hit the hornets nest. Apparently many people think that hitting 1,2,3 is super complex and deep and get annoyed the rest us us point out that it isn't any different than 1,1,1

So after reading through this thread I think some of you that are against the idea are confused a bit. We are not asking for any skills to get removed and you would still use Ogcd skill between combo skills. We do not want over to go down to the number of skills pvp has. Same number of skills just less button bloat

Because PvP is much more twitchy while PvE is slower and more deliberate. The PvP changes were made to help that aspect, but they aren't gonna give that concession for standard content. Nor should they, the classes are already simple enough.

The developers said that the PvP combo system was implemented in that content to allow players to focus on the strategies of PvP environments rather than on a rotation.

Since no one has answered this question (it's almost like people are avoiding it) I'll ask you. Why is pressing 123 more complex than 111? You still have to weave your Ogcd skills and know when to use which skills. Why should one combo chain take up 3 buttons when it can easily be on a single button with no change to the way the class plays.
Also by that argument, the pvp combos help for a faster paced fight? The only harder part on 1-2-3 is ergonomics and layout of our hotbars.
And using TEA and other ultimate content as an example is... well i just dont believe we should take the absolute top as a measure for such things and as said, theres no reason they could not let us use the single actions as well - or ad a long CD role skill which lets u skip to the last step of a combo for such cases.
