That's what you need to do to "earn" a house these days?
Am I the only person to see that as majorly screwed up??

No, the system is bad. I don't think anyone likes it, but I'm happy for all those who got new homes today (not people who already have homes and got a second, third, etc, but brand new owners).
Later on when she wanted to move, does she have to keep camp and clicking on the placard again, or moving to a new place does not require clicking and camping placard?Welcome to the club. Don't feel even a little guilt when you move your estate to a camped placard; you're a high roller now.
That said, while I'm glad it just so happened to work out for you, the crossed-through text is a good example why I'm really not comfortable with the system as it is; it's some of the worst design mentality since pandemonium warden. Borderline abusive to the playerbase.
Relocation skips the timer. You can just go up to the placard and buy it right away.
You'll be out a bit more money because you have to purchase land twice, but you get a discount of I believe 30% of the minimum price of your old land towards the new so it's still nothing compared to camping.
I really hate this housing system. The most punishing and unfair ever.
New houses open? That's just false hope and luring us into a trap. Hours of trying and no garantee to get anything. There are also people using macros like cheating. And there are people who can relocate and waste all our hours trying.
SE stop this. It's torture. Just like when i go to work, i expect a paycheck, not maybe get a paycheck. We should all have the chance to get a house.
When i buy something, i expect it to work. I'm not buying a lottery, i,m buying playtime to have fun. Not this.

Thanks!
Yep! Just checked housing right now, and it looks like for all of Excalibur there are a total of TWO plots available, both in The Goblet. It was then or never. It was for a reason! I was so tired, I just fell asleep. Woke up not too long ago.
I was afraid, I was there with 2 afkers, then a couple guys from this guild rolled up. Started jumping around everywhere, and random inviting me to their FC - constantly, but I couldn't acknowledge them! I had to keep clicking buy on the placard! Then more people kept coming. There were others actively clicking it, when I won the property. I got lucky.
Yeah, "organize" is a... strong word. I'll share what I've done so far, but it might annoy some people here. Though, since I plan on moving plots, I don't really want to actually decorate it too much. WIP (not really, literally just dumping decor out of inventories):
I'm horrifying my neighbors right now
Camera makes it look bigger than it is.

Definitely not! I worked too hard for housing to settle on a Goblet small, of all things.Welcome to the club. Don't feel even a little guilt when you move your estate to a camped placard; you're a high roller now.

After spending the first 6 hours, I was already deep in. I had to keep going until I got my house, I am not exaggerating right now, I would have stayed up all night clicking until either that house sold to me or someone else. I actually couldn't help myself. Sad to say, but I do have obsessive tendencies. You wouldn't want to see my thought process on glamour in this game either, things for me HAVE TO MATCH. When they don't it irritates me to no end.
Smalls are so cheap, it doesn't matter. I've already made back my money this morning off of sold bozja cluster farm items..
Camping a desirable location and ward is probably a no go, but even in The Goblet there is a risk of relocation. Some people I was at a placard with, were complaining in say about trolls relocating to plots even there.I really hate this housing system. The most punishing and unfair ever.
