Looks like it is 45 days since 5.4. 200+ plots in Lavender Beds on Louisoix, 300+ in Goblet, including quite a few mediums. Seems the same on all servers.
Have at them!

Nice for active players to get a chance but can't help but find my old beaten dead horse drum and say that this is a shame that it even has to happen. So many players lost homes, coming back to that isn't going to feel great. Don't feel free to unsub unless you want to lose something, ;/ hashtag hostage or something something like that XD.
/1,000 year salt for the housing system lol
I mean its quite genius from a business perspective. Guaranteed sub fees. and chances are they drop money on the item store, and have lots of retainers. I jest...

You are very correct, and it tastes like dirty chocobo tail feathers lol.
Don't misunderstand me, I think the demolition system is required and important (and before it existed I was one of the ones suggested it should be a thing). I just think it's sad that it has to be a thing. Many other MMOs have figured out systems that don't need this mess of solutions. All that placard standing, compromise of location, etc.If you're unsubbed for so long that your house demolishes, were you even using it really? Did you derive any value from it? What about your neighbors who saw a vacant house with nobody living in it for so long? Player housing should go to players who will actually use it, both in terms of giving active players a chance to enjoy the housing system and to make neighborhoods more active and vibrant.
Also you're not actually losing much when your house explodes. You keep all your furniture and 80% of the gil cost of the plot.
Given our circumstance I think the demolition system is important and shouldn't be removed. I just hate that this is our circumstance, feels like an issue from an ancient relic of time, and wanted to throw my finely aged salt around.

How great would real life be if you leave your house alone for a couple of months (maybe to travel the world) and its gone when you come back because how dare you do that!If you're unsubbed for so long that your house demolishes, were you even using it really? Its even worse in a game where it really is just pixels that are restricted only by SEs choice...they created something that will never be enough for everyone even if each housing owner plays every single day...
Also we live in a time of a pandemic. People have lost jobs, may have gotten really ill, lost maybe other people or have nowhere to stay. Of course a house in a game would not be on the first place in their minds..but that should not mean that one hurts them even more by taking that away.
Have you ever thought that people may have had something happen in real life that had kept them from logging in? Just because someone doesn't log in, doesn't mean they weren't using their house.
Take it from someone who had a large and used it every day until something happened that kept me from logging in and lost it.
Also, your correct about housing items and gil, but only if you login within 30 days (?) to pick it up from the NPC. Otherwise, it all get deleted. Gil, housing items (even mogstation items bought with real money).

"Everyone has something they hold dear, something they never want to lose. That's why they pretend. That's why they hide the truth. And that's why they lie."
There's probably a dozen(last I checked anyway) smalls open in Shirogane on Cactuar
Plenty of smalls on Cactuar. Haven't seen anything bigger open yet.
