Thanks for all hyped morale for FF8 in updates for FFXIV!

I have been playing FFXIV for some time now, seeing the updates reminding me ff8 really got my hyped to model from start to finish the infirmary. I tried every place to send this project to square enix but couldn't find any solution with that. Maybe this topic will be deleted in a rush but I wanted to show you how a great game it would be; FF VIII Remake

I think it's already over 2 years since the last time I drew something for myself, my silence is broken with Final Fantasy VIII (8), which I installed to make some nostalgia in my free time and which is also a world classic for me.

As soon as we start the game, we wake up after getting injured by Seifer Almasy in training. I decided to model Dr. Kadowaki's infirmary. Of course, I cannot explain the feelings and nostalgia it aroused in me, we met Squall exactly 22 years ago around these months and amazed by the beauty of the graphics. With a sale of 9.6 million, Square Enix added another great story to our lives.

I modeled my work with 3Ds Max and used V-Ray 5 for visualization. I also used Photoshop for post-visualization processes.
Would you like FFVIII to be remade like FFVII? I am waiting for your comments. See you soon..

1. As the title indicates, that's a Remaster, not a Remake.
2. OP said "like FFVII" so that should indicate what they mean.
FFVII got a Remaster a year before it got a Remake, so why not?

Probably it comes down to manpower. Presumably they’d use the 7R team, but they’ve got 2 more games to make. With another team starting from scratch we’re going to have a similar wait between the 7R announcement and first part. VIII has never tracked close to VII in terms of numbers and the demand for 8R is not comparable to what it was for 7.

They may do it but I would expect them to finish the FF7 trilogy and then weigh up what they want to do if any based on the back of that.

I actually think a full 6 remake is probably more likely personally.

They didn't remaster anything, they just transferred textures from another game(I forgot which).

Nobody is caring about that room when they know the rest of the game is still PS1 FF8. Its ok though, I really love that game and frankly want SE to leave it alone. Like really go away and screw some other of your games, but they cant be CC, CT, Vagrant Story, FF9. >_>

If your goal is to recreate the entire games backdrops, then import that into the FF8 remaster, that's amazing. The fact that they put no effort into upscaling the backgrounds in the remaster is my biggest gripe about it. I can't wait to see how you handle the NPC's that are part of the backgrounds.
However, I don't think this is the best place to post your progress.

I think I've seen this on FB, and you've done the next scene as well, the corridor leading from the infirmary.
Keep up the good work, but yeah, I wouldn't keep bumping this thread up with constant updates.
