They only change they've made to the older housing wards that I know of is to accommodate for swimming areas, and while for the most part it was simply a matter of removing invisible walls (and I think adding water gazebos in Lavender Beds?) the Goblet had its area entirely renovated to bring it more up to par with the other wards. I don't imagine that they will remove objects on a smaller scale like that, though that isn't to say that it won't ever happen. I've always been curious as to what they're thinking when they arrange plots, because I've seen plenty of other instances where houses have arbitrary yet seemingly deliberate inconveniences like that. I feel Lavender Beds is a particularly egregious example in that the waterside plots are positioned facing away from the water, or having huge rock barriers blocking the view. It's all down to a matter of taste of course but maybe it's to keep a "balance" from plots being too good?

You might look on the bright side though, if someone with a Paissa house moves into the plot in front of you, that rock might give you some protection for your eyes.
