Poetics Cap Should Be Higher

It is very easy to get the 2000 cap, and you may end up having to buy stuff you don't need just to make sure you can keep on earning Poetics. I understand limiting the amount of non Poetic Tomestones, as those are for current content, but it doesn't make much sense limiting Poetics.

This statement is true no matter how high you make the cap, raising it doesn't solve any issues.

they could at least raise it so youre able to buy a full set of lv50/60/70 gear. its annoying when youre leveling stuff and you cant continue doing so because youre undergeared despite spending all your poetics

Haha depending on what I'm doing it either takes me a month to hit cap... or I seem to hit it overnight. Even just bumping it up to 3k would stop me from accidentally running into that limit.
There are a couple of nice poetics dumps in this game, though more wouldn't be unappreciated.

This much makes sense. It's awkward if your character is rapidly leveling, you have poetics but you can't spend them on the gear they need due to MSQ progression blocking access to the vendor.

If someone is gaining 2 levels a day and only has MSQ roulette as a poetics source, that's 2500 poetics minimum earned going from 50 to 60, or 60 to 70.

A full set of level 70 Scaeven would cost 4,335 poetics so making the cap at least 4k if not that full amount would be helpful.

Do those vendors unlock before the regular ones do?
I remember going through Stormblood and the vendors aren't in Rhalgar's Reach when you first get there.

The major cities vandors only unlock once you unlock the other ones, so it doens't solve it, no.
My alt who's in SB has access to Kugane but where the tomes npc would be there's nobody yet.
I indeed also wish they would unlock them earlier, in ARR and HW you actually have access to them early on, it's more an SB and SHB think and I don't know why.

And yeah, I totally agree with raising the cap, it's way too low, both for that reason (saving for when you have access t the vendor instead of wasting), and because when you're "dumping" them it's easier to use mroe at once. I currently, on my main, use poetics to buy books I can raise ALC desynth with, but I can only get 3 every time I cap, so soemtimes I don't bother with the trip until dead moments and by then I'm capped.

It did not fix it. There's still the same requirement to complete the appropriate MSQ before the vendors become visible.
