I think most people just forget about it, or they think someone else will use it. On the rare occasion I play as dps for something I usually forget about LB.

Real talk ?
Because I don't trust pugs and to be fair, I don't trust myself.
In my worst moments, I was the guy that mess up chains on cerberus or accidently turn hair sword lady onto the entire platform. Everyone has a bad day, but imho if it's not savage, dps LB3 is not required.
Yes, I have been playing since HW why do you ask.
Because I’m usually playing as a tank or healer and my need to press the lb3 is almost nonexistent. With the exception of maybe an almost party wipe. So when I’m on a dps job, I honestly just tend to forget about it.
If I'm in a party that's doing poorly, I'll usually hold it until I feel it's safe for me to use the DPS one vs say a lvl 3 Healer LB. But if we're doing well, I'll use it as soon as it's safe so we can possibly get another level 1 or 2 one before the end of the fight.
Sadly, LB damage is like 1% of an Ex-Trial boss health, so most groups could probably safely ignore it and still be fine.
I often play casters/ranged so I never think about LB since a melee would user priority. When I do plan to use it I like to wait cause I want it to be my final move so I can gpose with it.
