"Outside obvious jokes/sarcasm, I aim to convey my words to the future readers who may come across mine posts. Can I change -your- mind, somehow? Potentially... but that's not why I'm writing. You and I have wrote our piece(s). We don't necessarily need to change each other's mind. But we can change other's."

There's no need for tankxiety. Even if someone has 0 parctice. Just know your skills (you should read your tooltips from new skills you get). Don't use your deff CDs all at once and remeber that arm's lenght and reprisal are deff-cds too. Keep your gear up to date. The tanks have a single and an aoe rotation. All other stuff is dmg optimization. Don't be shy pulling wall to wall. If it fails - that's not the end of the world. Maybe check if the healer and DPS are aoeing if you're running out of CDs. You can communicate. If you warn your healer that you're just learning, they will maybe babysit you more.
Not using AOE skills is bad in my opinion. Even more if they are on someones hotbar and are just not used. But that's the thing in reading tooltips. Sure, they can be confusing. But if the person really cares, they would ask or check the internet. There are so many guides out there. Uuuhm ok, we're talking about lvl 80 characters. Uuuhhmmm maybe they really just don't care.
I'm just biting the bullet and go through the dungeon. If it was really bad, I'll blacklist the person. If I'm in a good mood, I'll try to teach or give some tips. But mostly I'm trying to give my best to speed the things up.
Reality check to the merciless votekickers out there.
1) It's very fast and easy to get to 80 without doing much level appropriate content along the way.
2) Rotations get pretty complicated by 80. The correct thing isn't readily apparent and as people have pointed out, the game badly needs some tutorials.
3) People think they can learn their jobs by just playing them, so they queue into dungeons at 80 to try to get good. This is not unreasonable.
4) Its reasonable to feel like you can sort out the ever-changing way the abilities work at 80, rather than trying to learn and relearn your rotation every ten levels. Dragoon and Summoner in particular change a lot every ten levels from 50 onward.
Yeah, it is annoying to have someone pull small groups, or to fail to use their AOEs, but everyone in this game is at a different stage of learning and if the FFXIV community deserves its reputation as a good one, then it is up to us to show mercy to these people and try to educate them.

Reality check is if they're clueless enough to provoke two people in the party to kick them, then they get stonewalled. At 80, the margin of acceptable cluelessness -- while generous -- is going to be less than that of 50.Reality check to the merciless votekickers out there.

A great community (by the way) does not mean the community will put up with any and everything.

What sucks about others anxiety is how they project it onto others.
Know when youve come across an individual that can aid you in quelling the effects of your anxiety.
Ive been there myself. My anxiety, atleast with tanking, was bad. I would freeze at the start. It took one healer to make it all go away. Im a crazy dare devil tank now, I fear no one and no mobs.
I had to instruct someone in AoE before. There were 8 mobs and they were playing rdm and casting their single target spells because "it did more damage."
I had to explain to them ~500 potency x 1 target is significantly less than 300 potency x 8 targets.
Math is hard.
