And both sides just wasted their time.
Look, why don't we just admit that there's a certain type of person in this game which would like the "bad player" to be removed from this game -- preferrably by forcing them out of all content and having them unsub.

Incorrect. Replacing DPS is easiest in any duty.
At this point I blame the games difficulty. Progression is so lax and unthreatening you can ST the whole thing without a care and in the world, theoretically you can do this in 80s it’ll only make the trash mob run slow but not really threaten the party

While this might be true, it feels great to dump them. Your party gets to laugh about them when they’re gone too; it’s a fun party bonding experience.
Now let’s say it all together! Burn out the bad! Burn out the bad!

I’d say it’s bad for the game if people remain willfully oblivious to party expectations all the way to 80.
It’s actually best if these players unsubscribe or are exiled to trust runs until they learn to play with others.

Ppl will call me an idiot for what i'm about to say :
Unsub ? Doesnt need to go that far (and SE doesnt want that lol). Just kicking them is enough but it's only good with some explanation. Without that kicking ppl might even cause problems later. It already started btw : tanks are way more easy, same for healing it seems.
You want better partners ? Learn how to teach without loosing patience too fast. Learn when to stop teaching i the bad player doesnt listen. Learn how to stay polite when it really counts. Learn to kick other players on good terms (even if they get salty don't folow bad behavior). Learn how to leave as well.
Even if you are a player with insane skills in game, ppl with only be conviced with good behavior 1rst. Get salty and you will get salt in return.
Ppl need to stop the "everything right now" BS maybe something good will come out of it. It feels juste as bad as " game is too hard for me change it pls ".
Just get good lol
It's almost like there's a program within the game with a certain gold icon that was meant to put players in a position to instruct and help people beyond answering questions in a global chat. Wait.. /sPpl will call me an idiot for what i'm about to say :

Honestly, I can't really say the amount of times I've encountered players playing badly who were entirely hostile to direction. I don't know if it's just because I wear a crown or not, but talking through dungeons with people who are struggling generally gets the ball rolling. Did they instantly become master tank/dps/healer? No, but there was marked improvement by the end of the run. I only hope they continued to take that further in other runs.
I've seen more players giving salt wrapped in the pretense of advice, and then complain when the subject of their ire didn't bend the knee to kiss the boot.
The all know the crown means nothing aniway. It's not really hard to get if you have the time.
Many players will be hostile but doing the same thing won't help. And if you can't help him, well vote kick or leave tbh. Leaving without saying anything is fine too (better than just getting angry) but it won't help a lot.
This is exactly what i want to say: if you guive advice, getting passive-agressive won't help. If you get angry it's okay but doing it right as the start is a bad move, only players with the good mental state will respond to it and make an effort.
As someone who had a lot of anxiety when i started the game : you can enjoy tanking but dislike how other players react to poor performance. That's why some players keep trying in the hope of enjoying it : " i hope thoose guys won't get salty ". The problem is : some of them don't try to get better and/or are not encouraged to get better. " Do what i want or else i'll kick you/leave/blacklist you/make you feel bad " many players fear that and won't respond to that in a good manner. It took me time to adjust, i'm still doing it today tbh (not as much but it's still there sometimes).I agree and that is why I think players should use the vote kick feature more yet the game and community seem against such things. Just recently on our servers NN, someone was silently kicked from their group and they mentioned in NN they were removed. When I started to ask questions as to why they thought they were removed they mentioned that they had "tankxiety" as a level 54 tank, I mentioned they should take a pill for that NN overall got pissy with me and told me I was being rude. Cause apparently doing single pulls as a level 54 is still considered standard and okay cause they may get anxious. When questioned as to why would they play a role that makes them anxious they said cause they enjoy it. Which baffles me, if one enjoys something shouldn't they strive to do it well. Who wants to enjoy doing something poorly.
When i started the game i was one thoose guys who were struggling in nm content (started in stormblood), right now i'm progging O12S. Learning tanking what a bit painful but i have no regrets. I'm sure a lot of players had a similar experience. Enjoying something that is painful is not that weird.
