Quality of Life: Our home Nations

I think it would be cool to have a daily quest to help out our home nation. I started out in Uldah, I think it would be cool to dress as a Brass Blade and thwart some theives, Or help the Papashan with something.

And The wood wailers could have their own, And the yellowjackets could have their own quest as well.

For many of us, it's been years since we leveled. And it would be cool if we could return from our adventures from afar, and take some time to help our home nation in a quest at current max level.

Thank you for taking the time to read this

    Ooooh!
Yeah, we have role quests, why not have nation quests?
Just some fun quests where you engage with your nation? I love it!
And to not lock people out of content it can just be tied to whichever grand company you're allied with, so you can switch and enjoy all the questlines.
    God I'd enjoy this~
It'd be such a fun way to be able to reexplore the starting areas.
I'm very enthusiastic about this idea.

The game is designed specifically around main story quests. Daily quests have become the answer for supposed 'content' in other MMOs, and, yes, it is the same sort of drudge work that everyone complains about when those quests show up in the main story line.

Daily quests on other MMOs end up being mandatory. That's why I don't pay for them anymore.

Is anything in an mmo really mandatory? And honestly if you want to advance at all beyond just listening to the story here, at least a handful of the aforementioned would also be considered mandatory daily/weekly quests to varying degrees depending on how you want to advance. Exactly the same as in other mmos.

And if they would introduce this sort of content and give us some nice nation themed rewards, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that and frankly would be a nice expansion to the story since you would get more lore and learn more about your respective home nation. It, like nearly anything else in mmos, would only be mandatory if you wanted the rewards or wanted to indulge in the story that goes along with it.

    Then don't make them daily.
They could just add in fun quests centered around the grand companies.
Gimme more ways to show that Limsa pride!

The Brass Blades' gear is actually already in the game (the full set is found as drops in Amdapor Keep and the Wanderer's Palace, but there is also a very, very small chance you can get it through retainer Quick Exploration ventures). Not sure about the Knights of the Barracuda (the Yellowjackets) attire for Limsa, but the outfit of the Keepers of the Entwined Serpent, the personal guard of Gridania's Elder Seedseer (Kan-E-Senna) is also available and is a drop in several lower level dungeons, but can also be found the same way.

I believe the uniform jacket of the Wood Wailers incidentally was also aquirable during 1.0 as part of a quest but that is long gone and no longer attainable alas (I heard a number of 1.0 players kept this piece of gear instead of turning it in for a quest and so started ARR with it in their inventory).

Either way, some of the three citystates' militia outfits are available in the game, you just need to know where to look.
