5.4 left me with the thought that "WE'RE GOING TO THE F*CKING MOON" next expansion. Though, I've also noticed some people mention Islabard. I'm honestly curious if we'll even be able to go to the Ascians' moon for some reason or another(stop a certain sociopathic psychopath from just death, death, and more death?), but we have to wonder one thing: Where the hell did Lunar Bahamut come from? Because honestly I can only guess one thing and that's the Moon.

I have told anyone that will listen that I believe we are going to the moon in 6.0 however i do not believe it will be the whole expansion, just the last mystery zone that they try and hide like Az Yzla or The Tempest, I still believe the exploration zones will be in Islabard, and once it is time to go to the final mystery zone we will have to find a special way to get there like the previous two mystery zones. I do not know if it will be the lunar whale, since we already did something similar in ShB, perhaps a magitech rocket or spaceship kind of like in FF VIII, like Zenos makes one to go to Zodiark and either leaves another one behind because he wants the ultimate battle, or hopefully is defeated prior and then we use it to go there or maybe a special portal.

The possibility exists that the moon might only be the setting for the Zodiark trial. We will just have to wait and see.

I don't know how the Moon will fit into the storyline. I think that the endgame is going to be travelling down to the center of the earth, where the Lifestream is, to cure/fix the Sound. Zodiark is a sideshow at this point.

We also need to find out where that door in the Chrysallis leads to.

That would be kind of diaspointing, i mean Zodiark is the one who has been set up all these years, by comparision the sound is rather recent. Yoshi P. said that 6.0 would be the conclusion of the Hydalyn/Zodiark storyline and I was kind of hoping that he would be the endgame instead of some new threat. This also still fits with the current villians motives, keep in mind that Fandaniel in his first scene was trying to goad Zenos into hunting and absorbing Zodiark, it would still stand that is the current motive to remove him and cause the end of days to start up again. This would also keep the sound around as a threat for after this current arch has ended as I imagine it may start to come back after Hydalyn and Zodiark are gone.

It's called "Lunar Bahamut," but my wager is that it's not literally from the moon, just drawing aether from the moon (heavily implied to be Zodiark's prison).
