Considering the area of Eulmore where those showers are is called The Delousery, I'd say it was about getting rid of... parasites... just as much as body odour (the WoL and Alphinaud were given perfume to apply after though).

Either way, Enki was rather... scandalized at being told she stinks - she takes a bath every day at her home thank you very much! (she has a bathtub in her room). Stupid Eulmorians....

I LOLed so hard when I got to that point in the game. I was like " I HAVE A HOUSE AND I SHOWER THANK YOU!!?" lol. Though you do fight some mobs that throw up on you before you get there so ...!

Eitherway I died laughing. The way she yelled at us for the stink was gold.

It doesn't help that the camera operator for Leviathan EX is clearly a sahagin sympathizer.

What about Pool of Tribute? its showering water around the arena so it should technically be like a normal shower so it should count right?

I am so thankful to my FC for giving me my own room in their mansion, so yeah I have a Shower with walls around it for privacy and to keep water out of the rest of the room, sink, a bed, and a kitchen, music player, and other little cozy comforts. Much like Irl I shower once in the morning to style my hair and again at night to wash all the days grime off me so I am nice and clean and refreshed going to bed, this is characterized in game by me showering when I log in and then before I log off. My character just like my self takes pride in their appearance. As for the Eulmore scene I just chalked it up to them being so clean and rosy, that anything not using their most likely expansive shampoos and perfumes can stick out like a sore thumb. Also don't tell my FC about me driving up their water bill.
