    A Version Update is Required Error

    The game was updated to the newest version, however after reaching the main menu and hitting start to go to the character select I get the error above and get booted out. This has happened multiple times. January 11th patch.

    To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Also, what platform do you play on?

    PC player, stand alone client.
    Have tried restarting the launcher and computer, both from soft reboot and hard reboot.
    Would like to avoid doing a fresh install if at all possible.

    It turns out that a fresh install -was- needed. On an aside, would a Repair Tool of some sort on the launcher help for things like this?
