New "grown up" faces for the new expansion please.

I know its likely to be an unpopular opinion, but i really wish we had some faces in the 30's or even 40's. Right now we have "barely legal" and 50+ at least for male characters. The only ones looking a bit older have no eyebrows (Hello there Hyur Highlanders.)

Now i exclusively played male characters in practicly every Game but in this Game i find myself wanting to play female Hyur cause they can actually look like late 20's.

Could we maybe have some more grown looking faces for male Miqo'te and male Midlander Hyur? That would be nice.

Sorry but no, if you don't like the design of the Characters you should maybe try another game. There are enough other games and mmos with adult appearance and faces already on the market.

I say yes to more options. I wouldn't say no for some elder lady faces for hyur, either (as I take it that the other races have a sort of eternally youthful thing going on, and you can get more of a range of mature faces with most female choices).

I don't know about you, but I'm close to 40s and I wouldn't say I look older than PCs. I could say the same for most people I know in 30s and 40s.
If those looks are of teenagers for you, I think people you see around either have too many kids or do too many drugs.

As far as I can think, there's only usually one face per character model that looks really young; most are "young adult" age and that's pretty normal for story protagonists. I think we've only got the few "old man" faces because they needed to make them for NPCs and just threw them in the character creator to save having to build an extra one.

Yes, I'm all for giving a wider age range to appearance customization. Some races simply look eternally young (Lalas, Midlander Hyurs, Female Miqo'te...) while others always look like middle agers (male Roes). Only cases so far that I've seen having both young and old faces are Elezens and male Highlanders.

Most of the important Lala are actually pretty old.
Wawalago Momolago (Fisher guild head) is 65.
Fufucha Fucha (Botanists guild head) is 44.
Papashan Nonoshan (Sultansworn) is 64.
Dewlala Dewla (head of Nald'thal order) is 52.
Teledji Adeledji is 55.
Papalymo is 42.
Momodi Modi (adventurers guild) is 44.
Yuyuhase Luluhase is 45.
Lolorito Nanarito is 64.
Gegejuru... I actually can't find his age but he's def up there.


There are only a handful of Lala in Lala game under 30.

There are other named Lala in FF14, but these were all of the important ones I could remember. Ages pulled from the Encyclopaedia Eorzea.

NPCs and aging are really weird. Cid is 34, but he looks at least 60. Gaius who's supposed to be his paternal figure actually looks younger than him. And Nero who's his same age also looks much younger than him. So ridicolous.
