World (Server) Exp Bonus Problem

Its a particular problem on Chaos right now in that we only have ONE world with EXP bonus applied and that world is constantly closed to new players.

Please Please PLEASE fix this and apply it to other worlds!

If the exp bonus was on other worlds it would spread out the players more AND you'll have less disgruntled newbies who then are more likely to sub the game!

Have been trying for a week to make a character on there for a friends Eternal Bonding (kinda dumb you cant world visit for it to be honest since the ring still works off-world).

They don't like to change the exp bonus servers too often, seeing as they're usually up for about 90 days.
Meanwhile it doesn't take nearly that long for the bonus to attract enough players to fill the server.

Eh, this game offers enough exp that it’s not really necessary to make a character on a preferred world simply for the exp boost. You won’t experience many periods of level-lock nowadays since they buffed the exp MSQ gives.

I do agree that it’s stupid we still can’t world visit for Eternal Bonding ceremonies, though.

I would guess it might be that the invitations don't specify a world name in their programming (if there was no concept of people moving cross-world at the time they were set up) so if you had an invitation for "2pm Saturday" and that's all the game checks, that might get you into any wedding on any world you can access at that time and allow strangers to gatecrash it.

Plus there’s also the issue of character names. Since the Blank Invitation lists your name and just your name, it also causes issues with characters sharing the same name on different servers. I hope in the future the developers are able to give time to opening up this feature to cross-world. But maybe the code is too spaghetti’d to really fix it. Would be nice, though.

Congested/Preferred world clalssification generally gets updated every patch maintenance so things may change on Tuesday.

The Road to 70 bonus is an incentive to get players to choose less populated worlds for their new characters instead of more populated worlds so characters in general are more spread out, not just new characters. It's not a game changer and lack of the bonus shouldn't be a deal breaker for a new player who doesn't know what to expect in the first place.

AS of right now, Omega is open to new character creation so it's not "constantly closed" as you claim. Try checking at other times of the day, character creation status is updated every 6-8 hours.
