as a dedicated CUL (and only a CUL) i have to say this idea gives me a stroke. Im not saying I dont like the idea, I've had similar ones myself (a basic 'Cake' that you add different flavors to for different buffs: chocolate, rolanberry, carrot, etc). But the only way to really make that system work would be to make the ingredients the source of the buffs (carrots add PERCEPTION, chocolate adds MP, Saffron adds EVA, etc) but now we're talking about something completely, entirely different. A for effort tho!

Well as a few others mentioned they can do something like meals.

sure, meals are totally workable idea. 5 extra versions of existing recipes...not so much.

Meals would pretty much be like the FFXI version of HQ, +1 and Party foods. It would also be something completely different from most MMOs which just has the basic line of drinks for use at varying levels and basic foods for use at varying levels then the "fun" items.

Though Party foods was a good idea but bad in execution...like a mage using a 3 hour party food and giving the tank mage buffs when he needed tanking food xD

Okay I really like the meals idea, I was thinking when I drank my pineapple juice last night, why can't I have a pie too? They may have to reduce the existing stats if we could stack food items but it would add realism and fun.

You could have micro items like mints that add only +1 mind or something of the like too. Or even 0.5. Maybe for ease culinarians could even 'package' the meals in baskets for people, and have them consume the item that way, it would be a level 48 recipe of course so only high level culinarians could make baskets, or perhaps lower leveled CULs could only put together lunches; a drink and one other main dish OR a dessert.

I dont want dodo tenderloin in that dish, I dont eat meat. Also, is it organic?
