But the problem is not that you're taking away an ingredient. It's that you are, in effect, adding a new recipe.Complicated for the devs sure, for the players, no. I've already said it could be a little much..... soo I don't see the point in you in trying to argue with me or why you are.
Also, I said you should read the op again
"there should be a way to add and subtract ingredients from some foods" Key word there some, not all. So no, there wouldn't be "thousands" of new recipes.
I like cooking with this guy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-c4U6XRtvc
How about something far simpler: Three food effects. One for food, one for a drink, one for a desert.
There's your meal effect. Three food types active at once.
You're welcome.
Well i guess that kind of thing would be decent idea for food effect that lasts few hours.
But sadly there's no content that lasts that long right now...
Most of the content barely lasts 30-40 minutes, and in some of it you can die quite often, making this long lasting meal not really needed/wanted...
Considering that it would take a crafter x3 the time and materials (4 end synths) to make than a usual food/drink, it would be of course way more expensive, so doubt it would be much used in game as of right now... Most people would go for cheaper, easy to make food that lasts 30 minutes cause primal fights and raids take that long to complete. And even if/when SE gives us content that last that long, will you be sure that you are staying on the same class/job for next few hours to risk and use that expensive meal? (not directed to Rokien, yes i know you only have LNC and THM leveled)

Of course I would stay on the class, also this would be in 2.0 I'm not even thinking 1.xx.Well i guess that kind of thing would be decent idea for food effect that lasts few hours.

Also, reason why I only have 2 classes leveled, so I can level up with newbies when 2.0 comes out.
Yes I am bumping but I think this idea and this http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...ty-Option-Tent idea can go really well with each other.
I actually like the sound of that..
That's pretty harsh eh.....
Thanks Gramul and bobbyguns, we will have to play with each other soon.
No one is "encouraging me" to do anything, I would still be making threads, expecially now, when they are willing to take peoples ideas and put em in the game. WHY NOT MAKE THREADS!?!?! Even if 1 out of 1000 threads, the idea is taken. That means I helped out at least to make the game better. So until 2.0 I will continue to make threads, so if you wanna blame anyone, blame Yoshi-P for listening to the general stupid public or making these forums(because that's what they are for, Ideas and discussions about the game).
