(There was another post like this but it's last post was in January of 2020, and didn't want to revive a near 1 year old thread).

Basically, you can share your character's backstory here, whether it is a full backstory of what they did before coming to Eorzea, or just some background on their origins.

Character: Styrmwyda Khawyn

Race: Lalafell (Plainsfolk)
Bio: The adopted daughter of a a Sea Wolf Roegadyn and Xaela Au Ra same sex couple, her first name and the suffix of her last name is from her Sea Wolf mom, while her last name is from her Xaela mom, being her tribe, "Kha".

That would probably be great for folks who RP in the game, and even just people who want to flesh their character out in their head for their own enjoyment. (I don't RP in FFXIV—largely because I think a chatbox in an MMO is probably the worst possible environment for such a thing—but I'm an avid tabletop player and DM, writer, etc., so I do make full backstories for my MMO characters in my head.)

They do have a space on the Lodestone character sheet to write backstory as it is; you just can't view it in game.
