    Quiet Dialogue Audio in Cutscenes

Hey all, I've been struggling with this weird little issue for a while. Dialogue audio is moderately quiet for me during cutscenes and I am unsure why. I've posted about this on the subreddit before and the answer I got at the time was the problem was from my headset at the time, a Steelseries Arctis 3. Since then I've changed to a new pair of headphones, some ATH-M40x, and uninstalled the steelseries engine yet the problem still persists.

I've gone through my computer audio settings and did what people suggested. Turned off audio enhancements (even though I believe there were never any on to begin with), I've looked into switching my headphones to stereo as someone suggested but that's not an option due to drivers I believe? Nothing I've been able to easily change in the Windows 10 audio settings seem to effect the issue

I took some videos of the final cutscene from 5.3 which is really apparent. The audio is still listenable but it's definitely balanced VERY weird.

    Obvious SPOILERS for 5.3.

    Here's my view: https://streamable.com/cid12j

and here's a youtube video I found of the same scene, much better audio: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Of0LD0dbcXM

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums

Does this occur if a different set of headphones is used? Additionally could you try updating the sound drivers?

Hi there! Sorry I didn't see this until today, I didn't get any replies within a couple days of posting and assumed I was gonna be buried.

I've had this issue on both my Arctis 3 headphones I no longer have as well as my current pair, my ATH-40x. Originally it was apparently a problem with my Arctis headphones but it's weird that it's gone over to my current pair. My drivers were up to date but I did notice today that they were "High Definition Audio Device" drivers instead of Realtek drivers which I have no acquired. Sadly, this did not fix my problem and it still persists.

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Is the audio lower when headphones are not used? Or does it occur regardless?
