The critical engagements are certainly no normal fates, the items you can use aren't in the overworld either and then there is the castrum which is a lot of fun. All FATEs in the overworld are brain-dead.

You are correct about the Critical Engagements. However, these useable items are also a thing in Eureka. Again, it breaks no molds. It's just more of something else. But I won't go any more off topic. This isn't what this thread is about.

It's starting to become too formulaic for me, honestly. That's why I appreciate Bozja or even Ocean Fishing to break the mold. But I log in less and less.

All MMOs suffer from this. There isn’t a single MMO on the market right now that doesn’t get a bit stale. Of the Big 4 MMOs in the west - WoW, FFXIV, ESO and GW2 - none of the playerbases are happy. You can make this same thread on those forums and it will likely get 0 replies. Except on the WoW forums where they might actually flame for you making a positive post.
