"Unable to complete version update" [30426][19900][2]

I have tried to trouble shoot this problem all day today. I followed the steps to a T, yet still this will not work. This makes no sense, The game was working perfectly last night. How is it suddenly now giving me this problem. It's extremely infuriating. Ive cleared out all my cookies and casch and browsing history, I fixed the settings with my antivirus , I restarted my modem and my computer, I tried go in as administrator, I tried editing the game code. NOTHING IS WORKING!!!!! Please fix this problem immediately.

Finally fixed the problem by going to the last resort and uninstalling the game and then reinstalling it. Took 4 hours, but the game works now.

I had the same issue two days ago, and now I have it again - exact error code. I tried everything - went for last resort - as to reinstall the game, and that issue appeared again.

Any idea how to prevent that from happening ever again? The last thing I want on Christmas Day is to watch how my game is reinstalling for few hours

Same, issue here. I did re-install the game and it was gone. But re-appeared in a few days as well. So I'm once again not able to log into FFXIV.

So, I fixed the issue by adding FFXIV to exceptions in my anti-virus - that also solved my issue with not being able to make screenshots, so now game is working without any problems
