Every 100 or so strikes you'll come across a rare/ex item called the 'Goblin Whistle Fragment'. Once you collect the first piece a timer begins counting down on the item itself. You'll be given a general area of about 3-4 square to search in. As you run around you can equip the fragment and blow it. If you are far away it sounds more like your blowing spit in a tube. The closer you get the more sharp and whistle'y it becomes. Once you play a modiifed version of Hot and Cold with sound you use your pick on an area of the ground and pick up a new fragment. Which now comes the finished "Goblin Whistle".

This 5x use neck item will summon an NPC Goblin to assist you in your mining efforts at whatever node you findyourslef at for 15 minutes. He has Triple yield and scores rare items very often.


A little something to distract from the grind and actually make us pay attention. Plus a reward for seeking out the second fragment.
