New savage tier too hard for PF?

It seems that this tier requires lots of coordination which adds to the difficulty in PF.

It took me around 3 weeks to clear E9S - many parties were labelled clear but ended up being platform or seeds practice. More often than not though people were willing to put time into the fight in order to progress or clear so at least you could do multiple pulls without people leaving or the party being disbanded.

I reached e10s where often it takes 2 hours to fill a group, to then enter the instance to find it gets disbanded after two pulls. Each group seems to use a slightly different macro (people in different positions) and there seems to be a lack of patience to prog and clear because after a couple of initial mistakes the group often gets disbanded - often people require some bed-in period to get used to the group they are in and to warm up.

I’ve heard that E11S is a mess of low DPS parties and lots of death resulting in enrage often. Also when looking in PF at E12s parties, I rarely see any Duty Completed groups after a month of this content being out.

So, is this tier too hard for PF or is it too early to say?

Well, at least on Chaos I saw E11S groups way earlier than I did E7S groups, and a lot of them as well. E12S isn't as much, though.

I'm taking Lore way too seriously. And I'm not sorry about that.

When E5S dropped I was super intent on clearing it.
    Laser focused.
I pugged it for over 40 hours week 1. I was beyond able to clear it, I just couldn't for the life of me get a party that could despite only making and joining clear parties after day 2 of pugging. Sometimes you just get nothing but shitty groups forever. Sometimes it be like that.

The Light DC seems to have experienced a significant drop in player quality in the pf over the course of Shadowbringers, of course this is only anecdotal but towards the end of 5.3 it reached the point where you actually had difficulty clearing E5S in any farm party. I haven't pugged much this tier because I simply can't find the motivation for it but it's not entirely impossible that Light is struggling hard with this tier.

In my opinion the server split on EU should've never happened but that's a whole different topic.

While I have only barely stepped into PF so far, it seems decent enough on Aether. Just last night we got past Promise in three pulls and hit Advance Reality (which was what the PF was advertised for) a few times. Of course, Aether being the more dedicated raid DC certainly helps.

I still don't know for the life of me why they thought splitting up EU was a good idea.

I've seen several e11s parties pop first week and even one e12s party.
I see a lot of people setting up PF for e9s and a little bit later I see the same names for e10s and e11s, so from what I've seen, Light DC PF is doing okay and a few ingame friends pug this tier and have their e9-e11 clear. However towards the end of last tier once savage unlocked, Light seemed to have an influx of new players for savage raiding and most of them were completely unprepared, both in terms of gameplay and mentality. Trying to clear any turn in PF tended to be a long and adventurous ride...
I've seen pretty much everything from clear/ farm parties never getting past 1st 14 to people to people showing up in unmelded mind ilvl and without buff food, getting one shot on every aoe without extra shields on e8s when it was tagged as "enrage to kill". Existing quality hasn't declinded, we still have plenty of good players but PF quality overall got watered down by people joining savage raids but showing up unprepared in every way possible and good players quitting earlier than usual or forming semi-statics to avoid this.
Best thing you can do is joining a couple of linkshells dedicated to reclears and clean prog.

The PF on light DC is not so bad.
I had other priorities this raid tier so week 1 I only cleared e9s and e10s, on a Monday.
Then I didn't prog e11s for a few weeks and got my kill quickly this week, after practicing the week before.
I want to make my first step into e12s today and I'm confident to clear the gateboss in the next week.

PF is only difficult when you start the first fight weeks later, because by then all good player have in cleared already and you have to prog with people who has not so much raid exp.

PF isn't that bad, on crystal I've cleared 9, 10 and 11 all using it. Its just about everyone knowing the proper strats and knowing how to play their job

Honestly I would not try PF this tier. Not like it is really bad, but just to save mental health. If have majority of group stable players and then just some PF randoms then probably it is fine, but when all are randoms, there is just to much things what can go wrong, and WEST are not really forgiving on mistakes, a lot people just have way to short fuses. And this tier is little demanding on coordination.

totally this. but its not like vets dont help. by the end of the weekend/monday night, setup 0-1 chest clear parties. theres plenty of vets willing to join to help out but please atleast be compentent on your mechanic. vets joining and provide some party mechanic stability and dps but they cant help you do your mechanic for you.

when its monday night and you still expect a 2chest clear party, its a tough call
