You think SE would had added more character customization options. I played many games and their is some that has real great options when creating your avatar.
Most in the game strives to have the best looking character and looking good in glam/gear while doing it. Since that's the true end game for most.

Maybe they will do that with their next FF online game. Who knows. Just voicing my thoughts and wondering why they not added more options in past decade.

Adding character customization options is one of those things that in general need to be done from the start. Adding such things to a game that was not designed for it from the beginning can easily end up being a whole lot of work due to a myriad other things also needing to be changed to accomodate the extra options.
Usually it ends up being more work than it would be worth, which is why it is rare that games add character customization options after launch.

Many of the possible extra customization options would require adjustments to gear to look good. When you look at just how many pieces of gear is in the game and would need adjusting it quickly becomes clear why the developers would not want to do that.

You have a point. I am no programmer. So i wouldn't know what it would all entail and what be the cause and effect would be. From those kinds of changes.
