I'm against it. I like the idea of role specific gear adding to the role's identity. I'd vastly prefer JOB specific gear being more common but... Cutting costs cutting costs cutting costs.....

Also I've always defended the idea it's NOT the player's responsibility to concern themselves with the technical or budget hurdles of a game when requesting changes. The opposite mentality just serves to encourage people to speak in devs' behalf shutting down suggestions. If something isn't feasible it will be ignored. And no one but the dev team can confirm whether those hurdles are serious, specially given Yoshida has contradicted himself several times.
