I don't care enough about the gender lock to argue anyone on it. I don't even care enough to post in the hempen thread, which I mostly agree with.

What I do care about is the very specific thing I pointed out in my first post of this thread, the topic of which you haven't dropped arguing about two pages later, so forgive me for thinking it was still a relevant issue.

If you cannot recognize your own hypocrisy you have no hope of convincing anyone to your side or ever allowing anyone to convince you to theirs. I am not trying to embarrass you or run you off. I'm trying to make you realise that by stooping down to the level you're accusing me of, you're displaying all the qualities you seem to hate in others.

Be the reasonable beacon instead of demanding others are. Pose a good argument and people will soon follow.

I don't want restrictions removed. Sorry, but a BLM doesn't need to wear plate items. I don't think a DGN needs to be charging into melee while wearing silk robes.

I like how the classes are different. They use different weapons and wear different gear. They don't need to all be the same.

It’s how a large section of the world argues these days. If you don’t agree with them then they imply you must be a bad person.

Men wearing dresses in game looks very silly and it really impacts immersion in the cities and things. But rather than accept they look stupid, easier to call you an ism or a phobe then retreat to a safe space where everyone agrees with them.

You say this yet in the hempen thread which spawned this one, you sounded off against several people; even claiming they had maid/bunny fetishes simply because they disagreed with you. Perhaps you shouldn't be throwing stones in a glass house.

I completely agree! Viera are stuck with the midlander one that has those ugly undyable leather bits! I'd like miqo'te's, because it can go with a lot of stuff, and I just like the top. Elezen's could be nice for a ninja themed glam too!

Hempen sets have a lot of pieces that could be utilized more if everyone had access. There is no real reason to keep them locked like job gear.

I also like the Highlander gear, I think the top could be paired with a set of baggy bottoms for a nice rogue/ninja glam.

I make do with the current hempen gear but I didn't do my research before I switched to viera and was quite disappointed. :/ All of the hempen gear should equally be available to all races, it's such an arbitrary restriction that makes no sense. The job gear being restricted makes sense especially for the class gear boxes, they've each got their own meanings.

It is. At this point in the game's lifespan they should be unlocked. I can see the argument against job gear, like that would probably be pretty cumbersome. A select few sets, sure yeah, but all of them? That might be a bit much. Like sure, unlike hempen sets, they would just need to make replica variants, since the pieces are already fit to each race, but like... that would be... a lot.. of replica sets.

If, and big IF, they ever did that, I'd think they would probably make it a mogstation thing. (psst, squeenix, I'd buy ;P ) But I doubt they'd allow them to be obtainable in world because that would probably be chaos.

No way! I definitely wouldn't want anything like that in the mogstation. Admittedly, I'm not too invested in job gear, I'd say I'm neutral on that subject. I'll focus on one thing at a time, and that's hempen. They do already occasionally make replica variants, like that Sky Pirate gear. I think it would be better for people to focus on a few sets at a time, the most desirable, than for people to ask SE for everything at once. Maybe they will fix their menus and make the whole process easier.

Makes sense, and I understand the need to focus on one thing at a time. Something I'm noticing the longer I read these threads is that you can't give the devs too much to focus on otherwise they'll say it can't be done. Kinda like cats in that you love em and they love you but the moment you tap them the wrong way they nope tf out of the entire situation.

It goes into society being such a washed up version of itself, that video games or anything else that allows/displays a man in a dress denotes virtue signaling. Especially when I know that this dev team previously had views that would stop things like cross gender school uniforms right in its tracks.

I feel like this conversation would be extremely interesting and I wish I could actually talk to you about it at length without entirely derailing the scope of the thread. As much as OP devolved into being rude and out of pocket, I don't want to do the same by derailing the convo entirely, regardless of personal feelings. I will say I think that men wearing dresses actually contributes to the eradication of a bigger problem (one I won't mention because I'd rather not get unfairly called names again), but I'm glad you respect the choice.
