A forum thread isn't really a "Us vs. Them" situation, one generally posts a thread with a topic at hand and then the members of that forum discuss the topic at length regardless of what side of the aisle someone is on. OP has a bias, generally, as do the posters and the point from there is to have a discussion that points out pros and cons over time.

If you feel you're being drowned out and not being backed up, then maybe the assertion of the position in the first post isn't as popular as you believe it to be with the community here? And if you're unwilling to entertain opposing views, and be part of a discussion on the matter, then there was ultimately no reason to post a thread in the first place.
