Can I find Gm here? my FFXIV character is in jail! why?

hello everyone
it's first time i enconter this situation
this fine yesterday,but when i log on my FFXIV character
i find myself in jail,mordion gaol,why?
i didn't do anything against the EULA and did't get any warning from GM
i'm in Mana-Titan, i just reported been kicked by some japanese for they think my japanese is not as good as they so i shouldn't enter JP only party. and why i am the one being punished??

is anyone kind enough of to tell me where and who to find to solve this?and how long must i wait in mordion gaol

File a report in-game to let them know you're stuck in gaol and a GM will come to you.

System > Support Desk > Contact Us > Report Harassment

Just say that you've been in GM jail and haven't been approached by a GM in the ticket. One should get to you eventually.

Oof, if you were kicked for that reason I’m sorry to hear. They can be a bit ... uptight about things like that. Is strange you were put in jail though. Did you curse at those party members or at anytime were rude to them? We got some special people in the game that are very report happy

I've seen posts similar to this probably over a dozen times now.

If someone commits some kind of offense, the GMs will just shove their character into the gaol if they're offline when they decide to address the report, at which your only option to contact another GM and hope they decide to take you out of there sooner then later.

I am a touch curious as to exactly why the TC ended up in there, though.

what would happen if the character just doesnt log in for a long time after getting put in goal? would they eventually get moved back without even knowing?

You'll have to wait there until a GM gets to you, and hopefully plead your case so you don't get anything more than a warning on your account.

GM Gaol is definitely a thing in FFXIV. There are pics of it floating around that are easy enough to find.

Hold on. You get put in GM jail in FF14? If that is not in the EULA that is actually a violation of US laws. Hey Square Enix you might want to look at that as it could become a legal issue and force you to refund sub time.

Although anyone can make mistakes, I very much doubt that putting someone in FFXIV gaol , as a GM is acting in the normal course of their duties- would constitute any violation of any US laws. I would be pretty surprised if the game didn't have some time of timer so that someone couldn't be stuck in there indefinitely.

Anyway- even if no so mechanism exists- you can message a GM to get you out. As long as OP gets a reasonable response time- don't see the legal issue. Feelsbad tho for OP.
