Now back on topic...I can see what OP is saying as some of the pre-50 stuff and some others you can safely eat an aoe as a melee and just keep trucking so no worries.

As a MNK ill just Mantra + Bloodbath myself to full. 2nd wall to wall I'll 2nd Wind, and 3rd W2W I'll probably bloodbath it again. Now that Riddle of Earth does mitigation and a regen I can rotate that in now.

However the only time I will not simply eat a mechanic is if it adds a debuff to damage or resistances and thus make things harder on the healer in the long run.
