    You're wasting your breath on the people here. They automatically gainsay every idea for whatever incomprehensible reason that they've come up with. They also think it's perfectly fine for you to miss out on a 72 hour spawn because of some reason that doesn't make sense when put through the logic wringer, but makes perfect sense for brats who don't like to share their toys.

    When 100+ other players, including many coming from cross world, manage to make it before the S rank dies but you can't the problem is on your end and up to you to fix.

    Personally I would like to see SE change S ranks slightly to encourage more community cooperation. An immunity period isn't the answer. All that will happen is SE would get a stream of complaints about how the immunity period isn't long enough.

    Give the S ranks a buff that ignore damage taken over X amount per hit, scaled to reflect attacks that would be appropriate for that expansion's level cap.

    As an example (and I'm just throwing numbers out here at random, real number are no doubt different), if the most potent attack at level 70 would hit for 30k damage when the player is using ilvl 400 gear (Augmented Scaeven), then give the Stormblood S ranks a buff that "absorbs" the amount of an attack over 30k. A level 80 DNC could have a Technical Step deal 160k damage but the Stormblood S rank HP would only decrease by 30k.

    For ARR S ranks, maybe that number would be 1500. Any damage over the amount a level 50 player would be capable of doing in 130 gear (Augmented Ironworks) would be negated. Maybe HW would be 10k at 270 (Augmented Shire)so damage over 10k is negated.

    Players don't have to be leveled synced so they can use their normal attack rotations. They'll just deal less damage. They also don't have to be standing there doing nothing while waiting for those who arrive late.

    And SE doesn't have to completely reprogram how the Hunt works. They just need to add the buff to the S ranks.

    One of the other problems with using a Vuln down immunity is that you could be standing there waiting and still miss out because you took your attention away from the S rank for the wrong 5 seconds or because a Wulgaru sleeps you before you get your attack off and it dies before the debuff is removed. ARR S ranks melt incredibly fast right now and HW will melt just as fast next expansion if power creep continues at its current rate. You're not going to miss out if you look away briefly with this type of buff because it's still going to be alive.

    Those 100+ are just lucky to get a slot when the zones are congested. While the other 200 or more people trying to teleport in are not. An immunity period would allow at least a greater portion of the playerbase to get to the hunt.

    Personally, i'd think the best solution would be to significantly reduce the respawn timer. ARR hunts have a spawn timer of 42-78 hours. There's no reason why the expansions hunts, esp. once we're back down to 1 instance, can't have a similar respawn timer. Player base is significantly higher now compared to preious expansions, the "competition" - if you want to call congestion roulette a competition - for hunts therefore is also higher. With a higher spawn timer players will have more chances to play that roulette at least...

    Reducing the spawn timers will not improve things. Everyone will continue to descend on hunt marks that get relayed because there is no limit to the rewards they can receive outside of the weekly tomestone cap.

    What SE needs to do is remove the tomestone rewards from the hunt so the hunt goes back to being content for those who like to hunt. Those looking for tomestones have plenty of other content choices to do to get them.
