Which healer is your favourite?

There's often talk on the healer issues on the forums. While they're valid, I consider myself a rather happy healer in this day and age.

To that end, I'm just curious which healer is 'your' healer at this point. (or the healer that's closest to your heart)

While I've never played the others healers, White mage has a place in my heart.

-I like their 'heal' focus. compared to shields or boats of utility. It's nice to just look at someone and say "Reset"
-I like that they're similar to black mages, in that they have the 'rawest' sort magic and the most 'punchy' of the healer, potency wise. Affaltus Misery crashing into a trashmob just feels satisfying. Having one of the easiest mp flow also helps me feel 'in tune' with the world. Everytime I'm casting a spell, the world around it casts it with me.
-I've grown to love that almost every single animation makes me spin like a top. The hovering on cast is a neat touch too.
-I love the flower motif it has, with the lilies.
-Assize

Now if only the robes didn't turn us into white tableclothes haha

AST 100%.
I struggle to weave with the healers, but AST is the weave master.
Plus I'm a sucker for unique / original weapon types so I think its tarot card orb is just really cool.

I like healers that can heal, but also dish out the damage, so SCH when I discovered it became my healer of choice. I still love to play it even after its many "adjustments". Plus I'm a bigger fan of shields over hots. Even since ARR, alls I wanted were more shielding skills, and SE finally delivered, kinda, lol. But I still love SCH, it's my favorite, but let's see is adding Salve-Maker will change my mind.

I'm somewhat undecided between WHM and AST. I started out as CNJ, and WHM is still my official main job. I like the raw healing power, but healing requirements have become lower and lower so it just feels unnecessary. AST's cards are great for breaking the monotony of glare/malefic spam (even though it's disappointing that they're all basically the same now), but otherwise the class's toolkit feels like it lacks a bit of oomph. I also like AST for the ability to switch between HoTs and shields depending on who my co-healer is in duties with two healers per party. Shields just don't stack and double HoTs seem like a waste.

Scholar. No matter what they do to the class it will always be my favorite class from an aesthetics and lore perspective. It could always be better I suppose but no matter what they do to it I will always find it incredibly fun to play.

Astrologian is my favorite. I was always a DPS main and picked up healing after the MSQ of Shadowbringers. AST interested me the most with the cards and lore. I still leveled a Conjurer to 30 to get the basics of healing and then jumped into AST. I am a Ninja main, so I like with AST that there is always something to do with the cards or DPS if you are not healing.

I love sch due to aesthetics but I also feel it helps me cover mistakes made by people in random groups since I typically see people make the same mistakes and can reliably predict them. So STRONK ass shields is cool. I've been playing my AST on my alt on high level duties and its a damn fun class. Its pretty cool when you time your heals and abilities at just the right time for high raid wide damage.

So SCH is my fave but Ast comes close with fun gameplay.

From most to least favorite, along with the reasons:

• SCH (Top)

1. 'Regenbot'-fae that constantly following you & can be placed somewhere else when needed.
2. Plentiful healing & mitigation toolkits to use + they are pretty strong too!
3. Two highly mobile dps kit on disposal, namingly [Art of War] and [Ruin II].
4. Can pre-shield before raids.
5. Book whacking are just too funny to look at.
6. And I like books This reason alone made SCH my favorite.

• AST (Middle-ground)

1. 'Fastro' 1.5 cast time for weaving like a boss & insane mobility. Add [Lightspeed] to the mix too!
2. Buffing cards system that heightens the 'support-playstyle' affinity which I always adored in any MMO.
3. Like SCH, can do pre-shields before raid starts.
4. The amount of available insane potency abilities coupled with available weave slot after every Malefic makes it feels like cheating for using AST.
5. Flashy animation & cards.

• WHM (Least, but still high in overall list)

1. 'When I don't feel like using my brain'-healing mood.
2. The most traditionally compatible class to robes clothing. I like robes in general.
3. [Assize] for the win.
4. Starting a lightshow with [Holy] or that funny feeling when outdpsing DPS'es with well used [Afflatus Misery].

Interesting. I've always found AST to lack some oomph compared to WHM. There's a few gems like Essential Dignity and Horoscope Helios, but WHM just seems to have an overall stronger kit. AST is more interesting to play though thanks to the cards.

The reason why I feel like a cheater because in generally good runs (not the harder savage/ultimate runs btw), their abilities are just so potent & being an oGCD means I can do it without stopping the [Malefic]/[Gravity] spams.
Aside from [ED] & [Horoscope], [Celestial Opposition] is basically an [Aspected Helios] but an oGCD. Similarly, instant [Collective Unconsciousness] as well but without upfront heal, limited range and a brief damage reduction when timed well, at least in Diurnal Sect. [Celestial Intersection] is a free small heal + shield or regen with very short cooldown. [Earthly Star] can be setup for either a timed heal or simply detonate them right away for a considerable healing potency despite not being charged up. They all have the same cooldown duration that makes so much easier to rotate their usage conveniently. And if things go south somehow, they still have [Synastry] which basically gives us a 700+280 potency [Benefic II] or even [Neutral Sect] which injects steroid into our Aspected heals.

WHM still has its perks of being simpler to use and not-so-punishing to mistakes & the awesome lilly system, so there's that as well. I also found that WHM is slightly better at keeping a tank healthy.
