    How do I get a new friend (without a sub) a welcome back invitation ?

    I made a new friend during COVID who has an elapsed FFXIV sub and I want to send him an invite for the current "Callback Campaign".

    By design, the game will not let me add him as a friend as he is offline.

    How can I allow this player and myself to participate in the Callback Campaign" ?

    Sorry, but the person has to already be on your friends list for you to do that, and they're not so you can't...
