theres several interpretations to that quote 1. just being mentally lazy so you pulled it out of your ass 2, just another ignorant point to add to the list of this forum 3. you went to jail in japan, /drop soap j/k j/k 4. your social skills just suck? youre ashamed of dreams of running around in power ranger spandex? joke... so yeah, you did say you cant communicate with japanese players, wich was a lazy (and open to other interpretations) way to say the obvious, a language barrier exists. but resourceful players get past it.

having said all that, i hate the thought of segregated servers based on languange/ time zone, but i support choice, theres many legit reasons besides language, i wont step into that vipers nest , unless it rears its ugly head, if it does i have no problem smashing it.

We've definitely played a different FFXI. Did you fight Provenance Watcher? Lol slow paced. The only "slow paced" bosses were the original rank missions bosses, every expansion the bosses were a lot more active to the point you had to be on your toes.

By the way, FFXI being "slow paced" still had nothing to do with the servers being in Japan, because those servers were a hell of a lot more optimized than XIV's.
