Because your the one who can't read and can't tell that I was arguing for the app, against someone who sits in a bunker with a foil hat on.
Then you say I am at fault and I am saying its insecure, go there and read it rather than derail this thread more.
I would not like to get rid of all-areas-servers as of having all people mixed up, in my experience it makes it a lot richer, you have people all the time and just meet new friends from around the globe.
Add them? Yes, to please those whould want to play just with their zone, so everyone's happy.
But I would maybe, speaking of which or almost, go a bit ahead and propose physical servers in each continent. SE already has many offices around the globe, USA, Europe, and it helped many other games online to reduce server lag with just synching. It would get rid of most of the lag, and make connections more "equal" and fluent. Making it all come/go to/from Japan makes it connection heavy, laggy, and puts those not in Japan a little bit behind (just remembering claim drama back in FF11). And I experienced myself WoW and Aion (which haver physical servers not just on one place) a lot smoother even with more people in the same spot. Of course you would get some lag, but nothing comparable to Uldah where you have to wait for everything to load for a few long seconds.
P.S.
Zumi lol, I didn't notice I've posted what you already said... sorry ><

Jinko Jinko... i know damn well you know theres JP players who can communicate in english and other languanges at that. you also know that players manage to get various content done with international, mixed language PUGs. and im sure you know that frienships are made despite
language barriers. you made no point, your sarcasm was... well lets just say theres other types of language barriers because that looked like gibberish to me.
i support having options, mmo's are in large part about communication. having said that i hope most of us feel its worth the language barrier challenge and choose international servers, i look foward to meeting & playing with a diversity of players, its damn well worth the CONS.
Fion ?? I don't believe I ever said Japanese people can't speak English did I ?
I have played with plenty of JP players had a good time, some could speak english some couldn't I don't see what that has to do with anything.
My point is I want local servers because of Latency, as I already said I am happy to play with any language French, German, Japanese.
I can appreciate that, but for me personally I don't think it is.i support having options, mmo's are in large part about communication. having said that i hope most of us feel its worth the language barrier challenge and choose international servers, i look foward to meeting & playing with a diversity of players, its damn well worth the CONS.
Gameplay is more important than the people who I meet, I can make friends from the EU just as easily as I can from NA, I can't say I have made any friends from JP mainly due to the language barrier.

Would be really nice to maybe go back and forth. If your soloing or something that needs low latency scoot to Gungnir US (in my case) Want to join back up with your world wide bothers and sisters, zip back to Gungnir International. If you could go back and forth prettymuch on demand it could be a really awesome feature!easy on 2.0:
Step 1: Our actual servers stay as International Servers.
Step 2: Open 3 new servers per region.
Step 3: Allow people to transfer to new regional servers.
Step 4: Free access for people to choose between go an international server (old ones) or to go regional servers (new ones)
People who want to play with international friends will be happy with our actual servers, and people who want regional servers will be happy too.
Part of what i loved about Eve-Online was the single server/international community. I love meeting people from around the world. (theres couches with my name on it if i need one in atleast 5 countries)
Having options for international play and latency optimization on demand would be really awesome
On the one hand, I would prefer to play on a server closer to me, but on the other, all my friends in game are from around the globe and so I would need to be on the same server as them.
The cost of moving the servers would be alot, mainly because the infrastructure for SE's regional office is not based around serving the game they will need alot of equipment upgrading, I cannot see it happening because of that reason.
If you get regional servers they will be in Japan and dead, have fun on them![]()
Thats why it should be planned prior to the new servers, that way they can buy and build them at the same time in different places around the world. The cost of moving the servers would be alot, mainly because the infrastructure for SE's regional office is not based around serving the game they will need alot of equipment upgrading, I cannot see it happening because of that reason.
If you get regional servers they will be in Japan and dead, have fun on them
SE have a US headquaters and they have Edios in Europe so it makes sense, granted their main programmers are in Japan but like I say other MMO's manage it just fine.
I do think it's funny that the people for segregating the servers and populace think that the NA and EU servers will be in NA and EU respectivley.
If SE doesn regional servers they will probably all still be in Japan.
I for one am against allowing people to segregate themselves for absolutely no reason.
I agree there is no point to have regional server than aren't regional.. (but that's not what some of us are asking/hoping for anyway)
Sounds a bit dictatorial to me.I for one am against allowing people to segregate themselves for absolutely no reason.
