Servers for each Region

HI,

I don't know if this will ever happen or not but i'd like to see server grouped by Region. Servers for NA, Europe and Japan/Asia. I have nothing against other nations and it's people or language. But having so many different time zones jammed into the same server is not good. Makes it hard to schedule stuff with your team mates.

Most of the time NA and Japanese people stick with their own groups. Why waste space on a server if you have X % of people who are not willing to play with you or that can't even understand you when you talk?


Wouldn't it be easier if everyone in your server was from NA times zones, spoke english and you could interact with 100% of the server population? It would make grouping a lot easier.

I think it's been mentioned that they will add some regional servers in 2.0, but they will also keep servers for all languages as well.

No thanks, I have good friends from NA, EU Middle East, Australia and my LS has people from around the world and I cannot personnaly condone an idea that will tear my LS appart.

the EU recomended server didnt change much, i somehow doubt anyone will leave for regional servers when and if they come anyway

itl mostly attract new people and people who didnt want to stayt with you to begin with(in which case they dont matter)

I am from asia timezone and i play alot with NA that plays on EST morning and as well as JP players, and occasional EUs if i plays until 2-3am.

No, thanks. I like being able to do stuff at anytime of the day since my log in times vary greatly sometimes.

Didn't SE say in one the the letters that regional servers would be introduced in V2.0. Some may not like it, but I think its coming

World wide servers instead of regional ones is the reason why I stayed with Squeenix MMORPGs during the last 10 years. If it ever happens that I am not able anymore to meet my friends in the game, it'll be the day I quit as a customer.

Same with the FF online game servers being cross-platform, by the way.

Why is that?? Most MMO have regional server and most of the time they are localized servers too which makes it for smoother gameplay.
