There's no reason there can't be NA servers, JP servers, Euro servers, and international servers.

I will play on a NA only server as I do not speak JP, German, French, etc. and preferably this server would be located within North America for the best response time possible.

But you speak English, so why cant you play with people from the UK? I know alot of French and German they all mainly speak English ingame (some even play the English client over the German).

I am from the UK and would also prefer local servers, so I can understand where he is coming from.

I don't mind playing with French and German players, infact I do quite often, but I am not up for staying up til 4am to play with people from my Linkshell who are mostly US players and don't see why I should have to put up with 250ms of extra latency either.

I have a worldwide linkshell and can get things done any time, they are all friends and I do not want to be forcably pulled appart, SE could have something up thier sleeves for latancy (even with the internet's unreliable speed) there are things they can do for that.

FFXI had servers in Japan and no one complained, STO has one server based in US (Yes EU and US play together) no one complains.

Seriously just no really NO!!! Why do you want regional servers? Do you realize that with regional servers peak time will be the same every day and after peak time good luck getting much done. World servers are the way to go and should stay that way reason is peak times vary, as well as actually playing with some one other than what ever region you are in. There is no need for a regional or regional servers, it is a form of segragation.
