yes...but i'm willing to bet that Enix's appointed CEO will kill off the FF Franchise, by pulling massive financial and development resources to there flag ship titles Dues EX and Dragon Quest.....oh wait yeah...that's already happened.

It would loose SE millions if they kill off Final Fantasy, or they would have just said they are pulling the plug on all Final Fantasy games, Final Fantasy is alot more successful than Enix games.

oh really? What FF title sold under the Square Enix banner has truly been a success? One that hasn't let down fans of the franchise yet, go on name one.

I'm amused that you think Deus Ex (Dues?) was an Enix property, and significantly more amused that you think development on Deus Ex, or development on Dragon Quest games are somehow directly pulling people away from Final Fantasy development.
I'm also amused that you believe there have been no financial or critical successes in the series since Square and Enix merged. I think people frequently confuse their own opinion with financial figures and critical acclaim.
Then tell me, oh mighty Ramsey, how many people are actually working for FFXIV that are not stationed in japan? How many people do you think it would need to be able to do all this? You cannot pay all your employees with only -100.000 subscribers. It just doesn't work this way.

nothing is smoother than world servers since theres always people on. i can see it now if we got regional servers "i can never do anything cuz theres no one on."Why is that?? Most MMO have regional server and most of the time they are localized servers too which makes it for smoother gameplay.

Hmm.. I hope my server stays the way it is. I keep odd hours at times, and I like to continue to be able to have someone to play with even if its not "peak" hours for my region.
As far as scheduling... you could encourage your LS to host a LS forum and schedule events from there..... else after 2.0 there will be the content finder...

It's a hard thing for me to tackle.
On the one hand, playing in the eastern time zone gives me some pretty noticeable lag compared to those in the PST. I know for EU players it is much worse. So, an NA server would be nice... however...
I really like the worldliness of the current severs. I like that we can play with people from around the world. I like knowing that it's always primetime somewhere, and if you want to find people for an event at all hours of the day, you have a better chance than other games. I don't really know why losing this would bother me, as I don't really play with many people outside of my linkshell anyway... but, the introduction of regional servers would probably split much of my LS up; we have people from everywhere in the world.

Same here, and I cannot support things that will tear my friends apart, I like knowing people from the whole world rather than being xenophobic and hanging out with people from Europe only. It's a hard thing for me to tackle.
