Pay it no mind, it's the obligatory "I must complain about at least one thing per patch cycle, even if said thing is old news, or nothing different"

In 2 weeks it'll be about "the rampant insanity that people go through in Ishgard Restoration; everyone is a bot because they can grind more than me." and that Viera cannot wear the Kabuto

In around 5-6 weeks it'll be about "the ease, or difficulty of the relic weapons, with complaints about how much of a grind the Skysteel tools are."

In around 15 weeks it'll be about how "there's a lack of content, that the developers don't do enough, how Shadowbringers has only served to dumb the game down battle wise, and if they continue on such a path then the game will 'die'"

After playing other MMOs that require me to be logged in 24/7 to just maintain my gear, I appreciate just how respectful FFXIV is of my time.

FFxiv kills any other mmo in house decoration. As far as obtaining homes, that is a whole other mess to tackle. But decorating them is the best, close to being sims 4 good. Has anyone seen housingsnap website? I love going on there for inspiration and putting my own twist on designs.

Oh, and I am overall pretty happy with 5.4's new content and glamour options. The Eden's Promise necklace is even the first time I've seen such a piece that I actually wanted to glamour instead of hiding. Now if I could just figure out a good outfit to go along with it...

The big problem with that is that not everyone has all the role quests because they don’t need to have all roles. If it were going to be important they would have made it so everyone could do it I guess. Essentially if you didn’t do all the role quests than the weird boy is still sitting in the rising stones.

That is indeed why I doubt anything will come of it, but who knows. They might make it happen anyways, and I really hope they do. The potential is enormous if they were to decide to do anything with it.

• The story is pretty freaking good.
• Many of the characters (even in sidequests) are extremely memorable.
• The soundtrack has some insanely good moments.
• ARR zones' painting-esque landscapes and vistas, and incredibly calming and in-depth sound design (ambient sounds and all).
• Hildibrand/Nashu/Godbert/Briardien/Greg
• Plenty of amazingly good-looking equipment pieces/weapons to wear and frankenstein your own outfit of.
• The Trust system is already great and could become truly groundbreaking in the future with further expansions to the type of content it can be used in.
• The crafting system is quite enjoyable, despite all its simplifications.
• The "1.X to ARR"/Binding Coil -saga is the most immersive MMO story experience I've witnessed thus far. Coil raids extra enjoyable due to being dungeon-esque in style.
• Generally speaking one of the friendliest in-game communities I've interacted with in an MMO.
• Hildibrand.
• Seasonal events are surprisingly in-depth when compared to the rest of the MMO market.
• Some of my favorite Summon/Eidolon/Esper/Primal designs in the series.
• Hildibrand.

I could keep going on but I think I'll leave it at that. To complain is always easier than to compliment, so I'm actually really happy that someone made a thread like this.

I really love that Arcanist/SCH/SMN's auto attacks are done with the book. Like, you don't make it glow or energize it or anything. You just put all your STR into it, and BOOK BONK the boss.

I'm completely in love with the Skyslipper mount.

Zone music that's continuous, so ever since Heavensward, there's been various zones and locales that I sometimes go to, just to afk and listen to the looping music.

Most currently I find the Emerald weapon fight second phase music to be hypnotic.

As much as I complain about certain things in the game, it remains my favorite game of all time, for sure. The story has me in its clutches and I don't think it's ever going to let go.
