They actually scale the HP of the MSQ duty bosses so they take about the same amount of time to kill regardless of what role you're playing.
That said, killing them on a healer is still dull when you have such a simple rotation.

I feel like Trust would be waaay less awful if the companions didn't de-level after Dying Gasp. At the very LEAST they should available for a player's first run of a dungeon so they can learn the ropes.
I only hope theyd add a more 'robust' trust system, where it works from lvl 1 to max instead of being so 'dungeon specific', in the sense that you have a 'stable' party, and it has more features and whatnot, like giving your party outfits etc (even though its like askng 'dad gimme a pony for my birthday! tbh, so I really dont expect them to add it)
yeah something akin to what you described would be great imo, also as far as Im aware yeah in FFXI they join u in the overworld as well, which would be coolGlamming AI and doing some lower level dungeons already exists in the form of Squadrons, which IMO, is a much better system. Their only downside is that they can't do mechanics? But the ones they can't do generally deal 0 damage or don't deal enough to kill them. I prefer that over the really bad AI in trusts that will move for mechanics, but then stand completely still. No ranged attacks, nothing. You'll also see the AI fall apart if there is an enemy present with more than 1 AOE aimed at them. They'll dodge that first one, but they will eat every other one.
You can check out the dungeons you can run here: https://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/S...mmand_Missions
It really needs an expansion. It could even work for the earliest dungeons as a sort of squadrons light, with you teaming up w/ random adventurers who you could then convert into your Grand Company once you reach that point story wise.
Maybe even have then join you on the overworld as well early on.
I'm pretty sure they have something in FF11 thats kind of similar to this? I don't know the full details however.
