Just enjoy the part of the game you like and ignore the other ones, specially Trusts, they are NPC, i promise they won't get mad at you

That is literally what the forums are for.
When something doesnt reach even a decent potential, players are meant to give feedback.
Absolutely he can "do a speed run with a group" but also absolutely Square-Enix can improve upon this system. Its a fact they can, because the FFXI trust system is where they took the idea from, but horribly watered it down. Not only do Trusts in XI do AoE, they also adjust based on a situation, as well as have unique traits such as EXP boosts, do skill chains/magic bursts, you name it.
I will never understand why the consensus of the forums is "everything is fine, dont change anything" except when it comes to "MALE VIERA" and "DELETE MONK" seriously.

I think the system is fantastic for running the dungeon the first time and I have some at maybe 76 or something. The AI is surprisingly good and they do decent damage on bosses.
But yes, lack of aoe really hurts it unless you really don’t want to play with others.
They wouldn’t even need to pull to the wall, just do aoes on 3 mobs or more and it would greatly improve them.

				I mean....it's not a feature for you, that's all....
I don't see how that is a failure or garbage just because it takes 10-ish minutes longer than running a dungeon with actual people.
No queue time, no bad players standing in all AoEs, guaranteed loots, a few fun NPC interactions. Worth the 10minutes for me.
Also, honestly, it is far far far away from being the most time consuming and boring achievement to unlock.

I use the Trust system to level up my jobs that I don't know how to play nor do I care to learn. I keep myself away from other players so I don't cause problems. NPC's aren't going to complain about my crap rotation after all.
In that regard I find Trusts quite useful.
I love the Trust system. It allowed me to treat the entire expansion as a single-player FF title. It was fantastic.
