Not really, private housing is a joke overall, the most use and activity you see comes from semi active FC's, they should instead pull the current amount out of the instance and place it all in the open somewhere, so you can travel to those areas over land/air...

It is my house and I don't see why I need to report my activites to cyber stalker on how I am using my house.... isn't it?
And then how many players wouldn't be able to load into zones at all with all the item loading from multiple housing wards being crammed in on top of the normal zone assets. Probably all of us. Things get bad enough when reset day hunt trains swarm a zone.
Housing gets a lot more use than you think, even if you've convinced yourself it doesn't happen.

Yes really many of us use our homes constantly. I'm always in a housing district when not in a duty or running some duty list item. I attend a ton of club events and more in them. Looking forward to a big New Years event on Crystal. Just because you're gotten jaded about housing doesn't mean the player base in general has.

I also use my house a lot. When I'm in game I'm usually chilling in my house while waiting to queue for things once I'm done with my other daily chores like hunts or beast tribe dailies. It is also fully furnished, though I usually add to it pretty regularly. The outside remains mostly the same though.Yes really many of us use our homes constantly. Add a ton more housing wards. Can the servers not handle it or something?

Depends what youd consider "using" a house.
I don't garden or craft at my house.
I also didn't make a place that's made for people to walk through and enjoy.
But I'd still say I'm using my house, and that it's useful to me, even if I'm mainly using it to express myself and have fun decorating.
A huge issue I've seen, coming from other MMOs, is the lack of housing in general. Why is there not instanced housing enough for everyone to have one just for a ingame fee? Older games like Asheron's Call, SWTOR were able to figurre othat part out, so why can't SE? It doesn't seem to be a space issue, its definitely some nightmare scenario seeming bent on some form of sadism on the corp level. Its pretty awful here which is a shame for such a beautiful game.
Interiors actually are instanced, whether house or apartment. It's the exteriors that aren't instanced and that leads to the problem. You can't get a house-sized interior without having a non-instanced exterior that links to it.A huge issue I've seen, coming from other MMOs, is the lack of housing in general. If they had given apartments house-sized interiors, and allowed FCs to purchase them to add workshops, the housing situation would probably be in much better shape.
I know players who have managed to get houses this expansion without botting or any sort of automated script for clicking the placard. They hated having to spend the time sitting a placard, but they did get their houses.
You're correct in saying the system does favor those who use bots and scripts but I doubt very much it was specifically designed for them.
