can you at least stop gifting headgears in events ?! and exchange them with something that all races can use :3 maybe? no not asking for the impossible ( to make viera/horthgar able to wear hats )...

it seems that i didn't explain my point correctly , sorry i am not good with words .
i did use this even as an example but it's not mainly why i made this thread , my point is events/prizes shouldn't include any headgears anymore because it exclude 2 races and it's not fair . or at least they should compensate us with items that only these 2 races can get like head crowns, masks or flowers only for viera/horthgar so it becomes fair for everyone

I honestly wish the devs would do something different than the kabuto helms, seeing as how you said no one ever uses them. I get it's been a tradition... but still.

That would be nice. Heavensturm is the one event I literally couldn't care less about. We usually get the same fate with the same lackluster glamours. I know it's supposed to follow a tradition but you never see anyone with the helmets. Maybe they're more popular in JP...

Lol I actually agree... It's good to be consistent with the idea throughout the years but these helmets are ugly as sin and I've also never seen ever since I joined in Heavensward anyone glamming them.

Maybe it's time for a change? They can even use that meta narrative in game to change the reward to something else. Still with the zodiac animal theme, but not an ugly helmet.

Wish I took a Screenshot, but our Paladin Tank in a Tsykiomi (I know I botched that name) Wolf Mount Farm was rocking it with some purple dye and the Moon Weapons.
So I know there are people out there that use it, but it likely wont be alot.

At this point I think most people should have realized that virtually any hat or headgear that would normally completely cover a player's head will not be compatible with Hrothgar and Viera. I understand the frustration, but thus far it seems like devs have no interest in suddenly changing their designing process of new headgear to either deny the older races of new hat/headgear options in leu of only designing hairpins, glasses and headbands that seem to be the new races' only real options, or putting any real priority in researching the magic solution to all of XIV's issues by unlocking all headgear options to the new races. /sarcasm.

There haven't been any new hairstyles (or faces) over halfway into this expansion cycle for Hrothgar and Viera in the very expansion they debuted in. IMO that signifies a deeper underlying concern for these races that goes beyond "not being able to model a number of new head pieces." Though I don't think it's going to be of the level of "vaporware" that new egis are, I take that as either an indicator that its low on their list of priorities, or they're "saving" it as particular timing for filler or... something at a later date. -and that's not me being optimistic, I swear.

As far as this Heavensturn kabuto goes; as already pointed out, it's basically tradition at this point. -And that tradition is to be a borderline-silly animal zodiac-themed kabuto that nobody really wants to continue wearing after a week or two into the year or seriously glamour. Maybe more people would give it a second look if there were traditional plated or leather samurai armor to compliment them, but alas, even SAMs themselves seem to rarely even get that luxury...
