Gear Wear?

I recently crafted a set of i510 gear for my Brd. Since that time the gears condition has remained at 100% even with steady use. The i510 gear I crafted for my Rdm shows normal wear. Has anyone else seen this? Am I missing something? If this is not normal where do I report it? Bug report does not appear to be appropriate.

If spiritbond isn't advancing and the condition isn't decreasing, then the game thinks you're not engaging in class-appropriate activities with the gear. Which in the case of BRD and RDM is combat. Gear status is changed every time you defeat an enemy in the world, or every time you complete an instanced duty. The level of enemies has an effect on spiritbond advancement rate, not sure if it also affects condition.

This has changed recently. FATEs will advance gear status but normal enemies will not.

Ah, good to know. That was probably in the same patch that changed it so status changes are only applied at the end of an instanced duty, I just missed the part about world enemies.

Some gear seems to be more resistant than others. Possibly due to item level.
