Road to 70 Buff

Yet another Road to 70 Buff question, I know, I know.

I'm just genuinely confused. So I've got the buff and I'm on a preferred world, does that buff stay with me for the full 90 days after making this character? Or if the world loses it's preferred status sometime within those 90 days, do I lose that buff? I've seen the term "90 Days *or*" being thrown around quite a bit and I just want to know if I can sit comfy knowing the buff is active for the full 90 days, or if I should be maximizing time and potential.
