    FFXIV thinks my friend is running DirectX 9 when she isn't

    My friend has been playing FFXIV for months with no problem. Now suddenly when she tries to login she gets the message "DirectX 9 not supported" and underneath the Play button instead of DirectX 11 it says .0c. She has Windows 10 and when she runs dxdiag it says her version of DirectX is DirectX 12.

    Any ideas? Thanks.

    How long has she been experiencing this issue? Additionally, on the game launcher settings is it set to Direct X 11?
